YouTube, newsletter, video blog: BARTHAUER is consistently expanding its information offering

BARTHAUER launched the consistent expansion of its information offering by setting up the company’s own YouTube channel. This was followed by the Info app, social media profiles, a newsletter and a video blog. Our efforts were concluded with the relaunch of our company website.  Today BARTHAUER provides information about current company developments and software innovations across channels.

BARTHAUER launched the expansion of its information offering by setting up the company’s own YouTube channel in 2011. This channel has been well accepted and used continuously by customers and prospects since then. According to Philip Sauer, Head of Marketing at BARTHAUER, the three to five-minute product overviews are especially popular. Philip Sauer explains why: “BARTHAUER software is complex. Understanding all of it takes time. Often this time is lacking in everyday practice. Our tutorials on the other hand describe the functionality of select modules in straightforward and comprehensible terms within a few minutes. This really saves time for our users and prospects.”

The information offering was expanded by the BARTHAUER Info app in 2015. It provides customers, users and prospects with mobile access to the software provider’s information. Current company news are transferred to the app in real time via an RSS feed. News from the BARTHAUER Facebook channel are integrated. The app also offers an excerpt of the product portfolio in PDF format. Corresponding product videos are linked to the BARTHAUER YouTube channel via the app. “With the BARTHAUER Info app, we took the consistent next step in the direction of customer orientation,” says Philip Sauer. The Info app is available as a free download from the respective app stores.

BARTHAUER presented the fresh and modern newsletter “BARTHAUER News” in 2016.  It delivers reliable and current information about interesting topics from the world of BARTHAUER every eight weeks. Philip Sauer about the contents: “Every newsletter will have a main theme and provide corresponding information. Examples include field reports, infographics and studies, product information, and notices of events and important dates.” Anyone who has not yet subscribed can request or download the newsletter free of charge at any time on the website.

BARTHAUER further expanded its information offering at the end of 2016 by presenting the company video blog “BARTHAUER Direct”. Short and to the point, the videos provide information about current company developments and projects. The latest episode reports on a mobile phone collection drive to support the gorilla conservation project of the Frankfurt zoo.

Developments were concluded at the beginning of this year with the relaunch of the company website. It presents itself in a new design based on responsive technologies. Philip Sauer about the relaunch: “The new website has a clear layout and tidy appearance. It is based on the trends and conventions for the latest online look. The newly designed homepage provides the user with all important content at a glance from the outset. Sub-pages accessible from the homepage also have a clear structure and layout.”

The challenge was to present the extremely broad range of news, facts and product information clearly and to make it accessible at all times. That is why we have continuously expanded our information offering over the last few years in order to meet the needs of our target group.
