BARTHAUER at IFAT: a successful event with effective know-how transfer

A mix of exciting innovations, inspiring conversations and an exhibition stand with a partnership concept – those were the successful components of this year’s IFAT appearance by Barthauer Software GmbH. The provider of innovative software for infrastructure and water management successfully positioned itself with a modern and fresh presentation in an exposed location.

“Thanks to our product and trade fair concept, we were able to reach extended target groups this year,” reports Managing Director Anis Saad. In addition to a bright, generous and open exhibition stand concept, the software company from Braunschweig mainly presented its successful and established product portfolio focusing on the wastewater and water modules. Building on that, important innovations taking into account the dynamic changes in this sector and redefining the standards for modern infrastructure systems also took centre stage. From the smart city and compatibility with mobile devices to digitalisation – these future topics have been successfully initiated by BARTHAUER and will increasingly gain importance in the product portfolio going forward.

So it was a good fit for the Braunschweig company to present itself in cooperation with the partner DHI this year in an exposed and therefore perfect exhibition stand location. In the immediate vicinity of and between two hall entrances, the BARTHAUER team was able to attract a lot of attention and visitor traffic starting on the first day of the trade fair.

Many visitors were also interested in the new BaSYS services related to operation management and maintenance (BaSYS Regie). Order processing is made significantly more efficient using mobile devices on the customer site in combination with BaSYS REGIE MOBILE. In addition to extensive support for maintenance activities on site through navigation aids such as GPS and the integration of RFID transponders as well as intuitive digital data capture and processing, the effort to transfer the feedback to the system is minimal. An overview of the maintenance activity status and the condition of infrastructure networks and objects, accurate to the day, is easily obtained as a result.

The joint presentations with p2m Berlin GmbH at the GWP exhibition stand and with entellgenio GmbH at the own exhibition stand were also received surprisingly well by the international audience. They mainly focused on the aspect of asset health management in addition to tips and tricks for data management from an engineering and IT perspective. A well-grounded analysis of the infrastructure is made possible by the combination of operational data for supply lines from the BARTHAUER infrastructure management system BaSYS and the strategic asset simulation from entellgenio. This joint service combining the strengths of both companies thereby helps control the long-term development of the infrastructure.

A positive look back at IFAT: “We are once again extremely happy with how IFAT went this year. Our presence offered sufficient space for successful and interesting discussions, and for the live presentation of our software. Time and time again, visitors are surprised by the numerous fields of application covered by our software solutions in the meantime. We are particularly pleased about the many serious initial contacts and prospects who professed interest in our complete solution,” is how Head of Sales Claudia Hickmann sums it up.
