The symposium and user conference has been a permanent part of Barthauer Software GmbH’s company events calendar since 2010. This year UC9 was held on 20-21 June 2018 at the new INNSIDE Frankfurt Ostend. As an event by experts for users, UC9 is an ideal platform for the transfer of technical knowledge and know-how related to the infrastructure management system BaSYS. It offers a diverse programme mix of informative technical presentations and interactive workshops over the two days of the event. Topics covered by this year’s presentations ranged from BIM to BaSYS Web to a vision for a future infrastructure, discussed in detail by BARTHAUER Managing Director Anis Saad.
Aside from the technical presentations, the conference offers extensive opportunities for technical and personal exchanges with BARTHAUER experts and conference participants through workshops and expert sessions. A new workshop experience was offered for the first time in the afternoon on the first conference day. In what are called Open Space Workshops, the participants had a chance to get actively involved with contributed topics and work on them innovatively in dynamic workgroups. This allowed all participants to take away new ideas from the discussions.
The supporting programme on the first evening of the event is another permanent pillar to deepen the exchange of experiences. This year BARTHAUER issued invitations to a joint tour of the modern Frankfurter Ostend around the ECB under the motto “Industrial charm meets place to be”. Experienced guides led the tour in the area around the European Central Bank in magnificent summer weather, sharing their profound knowledge and providing insights into the quarter’s history and architectural redesign. Later on the evening drew to a culinary and social close in the restaurant of the INNSIDE Hotel.
The BARTHAUER team thanks all participants for attending, and is already looking forward to the anniversary next year. The venue and event date for the 10th User Conference will be disclosed in a timely manner this autumn. The first BaSYS User Conference for Austria is being held this year on September 12-13 in Salzburg. Established in Germany, the concept of the BaSYS symposium and user conference is now coming to Austria as well. The concept and programme for this conference is aimed at both long-term users and new customers. “We are looking forward to the first User Conference in Salzburg this year with and for our Austrian customers. Our goal is to successfully establish this format in Austria, and we are hoping for lots of participants,” says BARTHAUER Sales Manager Claudia Hickmann, looking to the future with anticipation.
