With BaSYS AquaFIN, water supply networks are calculated directly from the BaSYS database. BaSYS AquaFIN uses STANET, a very fast and exact solution procedure for the stationary and dynamic calculation of water supply networks.
BaSYS AquaFIN administers all water supply network data that are relevant for hydraulics. The calculation results are output in the BaSYS AquaFIN forms, standard reports and in BaSYS Plan theme plans.
Data collection has to comply with the network logic according to the GAWANIS standard. This requirement is met automatically with the use of BaSYS-Plan. Alternatively the data can imported into the BaSYS database using standardised interfaces or entered manually into the BaSYS AquaDATA/AquaFIN forms.
BaSYS AquaFIN (and the BaSYS database) communicates directly with the STANET calculation core via an interface. At the start of the calculation, the elements of the water supply network, data and parameters are automatically transformed to the STANET logic. This means a hydraulic standby system is not required. Optionally the network can be revised and recalculated in STANET before reading the results back into BaSYS AquaFIN.
The hydraulically relevant pipe characteristics, pump curves and hydraulic default settings are administered in the BaSYS AquaFIN libraries. Complete libraries can be made available for other water supply projects using System Manager:
The node and pipe forms are divided into tabs:
BaSYS AquaFIN communicates directly with the supplementary forms of BaSYS AquaDATA and object representation in BaSYS Plan.
The list view of the node and pipe forms offers numerous possibilities:
The node form is used to administer the data relevant for hydraulics:
The calculation default settings are stored in the database. These include:
The tract discharge – also parallel to the node discharge – can be calculated using the meter mass value, load factor and line-specific development factor.
The calculation is started in the BaSYS AquaFIN menu bar and encompasses:
The calculation results can be checked in the following locations:
The calculation results for selected pipe tracts are output in the longitudinal section:
